Project Overview

Pinnacles Prep is an existing charter public school in Wenatchee, WA which opened its doors to the first middle school students in August of 2021. While maintaining high expectations and rigor, the school’s model reimagines the traditional school day to provide students with interdisciplinary place-based learning experiences to cultivate their identity development, intrinsic motivation, and leadership.

WCSD is assisting the school at several critical stages in its growth including during the latest phase of renovations which are being funded through a WA State Department of Commerce grant in conjunction with the City of Wenatchee. This is the first State funded charter school facility improvements project in Washington’s history.

Phase II involved additional renovation and development of the existing Community Center campus with a specific focus on building out classroom capacity in the church building and remodeling the reception area. The existing open auditorium was transformed into three new classrooms. The reception area included a new upgraded vestibule, entry space, and admin and office space. Additionally, there were upgrades to the electrical and HVAC system and to the warming kitchen and existing maker’s space.
